Special Counsel Graham Warren has 16 years of tax advisory experience, the last 11 of which have been spent at Greenwoods & Herbert Smith Freehills. He is an expert on the taxation of superannuation and employment.
Graham’s experience includes advising retail, corporate and industry superannuation funds, as well as life insurers, on the technical aspects of contributions and benefits, annuities and life insurance, financial planning tools and retirement product development.
Companies of all sizes—from large multinationals to small and medium-sized enterprises—benefit from Graham’s expertise on various employment tax issues, including superannuation contribution obligations, share plans, executive remuneration structuring and termination payments. He also provides retirement planning tax advice to high-net-worth individuals.
Graham is a member of The Tax Institute Superannuation Committee and the Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia. He co-authored the Australian tax chapters in international employment law journals published by Globe, Jordans and LexisNexis. A Chartered Tax Adviser, Graham holds Bachelor of Commerce and Master of Laws degrees from the University of Melbourne, where he has also co-lectured in the Masters course on the Taxation of Superannuation.
